Erangel:

Erangel holds a special heart in the place of many, and most know where to drop on the PUBG Erangel map for the best loot. It was all we had for so long, with the 8km by 8km island being where most got their first Chicken Dinner, or squadded up to take on the world together.

PUBG's Erangel Map, the first map in the game that's still seen as PUBG's base map, is not small - it can't be, if it's going to house hundreds upon hundreds of games over and over again - and even though it can feel like second nature at times, the ubiquitous design of the buildings, trees, and rolling battleground countryside are easy enough to get lost in.

There's also the matter of finding the best landing location for your game, and so here we'll cover those as well as anything else worth knowing about Erangel, including and Erangel vehicles, weapons or gear exclusive to the map, and Erangel strategies for coming out on top.

Erangel Unique vehicles:

• UAZ Open Top - 4 seater SUV (now on Vikendi too)
• UAZ Closed Top - 4 seater SUV (now on Vikendi too)

Erangel Unique weapons:

• DP28 - LMG using 7.62mm rounds

Miramar:

The PUBG Miramar map was divisive to say the least. Originally landing on PC in 2017, the second map was welcomed insofar as it was a fresh map (with Erangel being the only entry for so long), but players soon found the arid deserts lacking in visual identity and gameplay potential.

With large stretches of desert without a great deal of cover, it can be a sniping paradise - but it’s more built-up areas still offer plenty of satisfying PUBG skirmishes. Originally, Desert map was intended to have a size of 4 X 4 km, but it ended up being an 8 X 8 km map. It is a city-centric map which also has an open desert plain, some rural areas and well-developed urban areas.

Miramar Unique vehicles:

• Pickup (Open Top) - 4 seater replacing the open UAZ
• Pickup (closed Top) - 4 seater replacing the closed UAZ
• Van - 6 seater slow-moving banter bus
• Mirado - 4 seater muscle car

Miramar Unique weapons:

• Win94 - sniper rifle, incompatible with scopes
• Sawed-Off - shotgun equipped in sidearm slot
• R45 - pistol replacing the R1895

• Miaramar has four kinds of dynamic weather available: Day (clear), Sunrise, Rain, Fog.

Sanhok:

Vikandi:

It's an interesting one, sitting in the mid-size territory between the smaller Sanhok and larger Erangel and Miramar maps, and it brings some new mechanics and strategic elements like footprints with it, too.
